LEO BURKE ACADEMY

Following the guidance of our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Fitzgerald, masks are now mandatory for grades 4-12 while on school buses and in the school building. Students can remove their masks when eating/drinking, participating in physical activity or playing wind instruments in music. Please click on the link below to view the memo sent out by our Associate Director of Education, Mr. Ed Walsh.

As part of the NLESD's Back-to-School Plan, all staff and students are asked to complete a self-screening questionnaire every day before they come to school. Please click on the link below to view the questionnaire.

WELCOME TO THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

We would like to extend a very warm and enthusiastic welcome to all our students who will be joining us at LBA this year!

The first day of school for students is Wednesday, September 8.

Doors open at 8:30 and the first bell is 8:45. Lunch is 12:05-12:45 and students are dismissed at 2:50. More detailed information will be sent home with students on Friday in our newsletter, the Lightning Flash.

We have lots of new faces joining us this year so teachers will be at the front entrance and in the hallways to greet students and to tell them where their homerooms are. Visitation is still restricted, unless for an appointment, so parents will not be able to come into the building with their children.

If you have any questions, Mary is available to help from 8:30-3:30. Our school number is 258-6337.
